How We Help.

Kāko‘o Hawai‘i Mental Health Collective believes in supporting the mental health needs of our communities, building pilina amongst Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander therapists, and raising up the next generation of mental health practitioners.

  • Giving

A portion of all Provider Hui membership fees goes towards supporting therapy sessions for uninsured or under-insured Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander individuals from rural and marginalized communities.

  • Innovation

A centralized platform to connect individuals with licensed Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander mental health professionals currently does not exist. Kāko‘o Hawai‘i Mental Health Collective aims to fill this service gap and ease pathways for our communities.

  • Community Engagement

Whether it’s speaking at your organization, at larger events or sitting at your table for conferencing — our providers would embrace the opportunity to build pilina through collaboration and partnership.

  • Supporting Local Small Business

While there is convenience in telehealth, there is something culturally significant about connecting in-person and face-to-face. In building shared office and therapy spaces across our pae ‘āina — we also acknowledge our kuleana to create spaces that promote healing. Elements of our ‘āina can serve as conduits to healing -- including wai, mea ‘ai & meaningful artistry. The vision for our collective space is to be one that is 100% locally sourced.
